We strive to promote healing and spiritual growth through prayer and understanding. As one of the world-wide branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, MA. we emphasize the inspired Word of the Bible. Our church follows Jesus’ instruction to us all, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and greater works than these shall he do;” John 14:12.

We are pleased your spiritual journey has brought you to our church, located at 801 Grand Avenue, West Des Moines, IA. Our pastor is the King James version of the Bible and our denominational textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. Hymns, prayer and readings from these 2 books by members of the church, comprise our services.

Sunday School
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM
All children, young adults, and visitors up to the age of 20 are welcome in our Christian Science Sunday School. The Sunday School is held during the same hour as our Sunday church service. Children too young for Sunday School are cared for in the nursery during our Sunday services.

Discover Our Reading Room
Our reading room offers a serene environment for exploring Christian Science literature, including the Bible and works by Mary Baker Eddy. Visitors are welcome to read, study, and purchase materials. Join us to deepen your understanding and spiritual journey.
